Prior to joining Han Kun, Ms. Li was of counsel with AllBright Law Offices and had also worked in-house as general counsel for three years. Before moving in-house, Ms. Li worked for seven years in the China Practice Groups of three pre-eminent international law firms, Coudert Brothers LLP, Orrick Herrington Sutcliffe LLP and Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP.
Ms. Li's primary practice areas are domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and general corporate. She has represented many foreign clients in their investments into China, by forming new business entities and by making acquisitions. Ms. Li routinely advises Chinese clients on their domestic and outbound investments. She has extensive experience in private equity investment and is familiar with onshore and offshore structures and formalities. Ms. Li also works on cross-border financing, commercial transactions and compliance matters for multinationals. The clients which Ms. Li represents come from a wide range of industry sectors such as entertainment, clean energy, retail, FMCG, TMT, hospitality, private equity funds and a variety of manufacturing businesses.
