Profile
Kathryn is an associate specialising in all aspects of commercial real estate. Kathryn has advised a diverse range of clients including institutional landlords, investors and corporate occupiers on portfolio management, non-contentious landlord and tenant matters and sales and acquisitions within the office, industrial and retail sectors. Kathryn has also worked on corporate and banking mandates, carrying out property due diligence and providing advice on warranties and disclosures.
Her recent projects include:
- acting on all aspects of property management for a large national portfolio and assisting with the £305 million disposal of the portfolio;
- acting for the tenant (a luxury / electronic brand) taking a lease of its flagship store in central London, at a rent of £500,000 p.a.;
- acting for McKay Securities and the owner of Festival Place Shopping Centre, Basingstoke on the asset management of their portfolios.
Kathryn graduated in 2017 with a 2:1 in Law with Canadian Law from the University of Nottingham and then undertook the Legal Practice Course at the University of Law, Guildford. Kathryn joined Shoosmiths in September 2017 as a banking Paralegal. Kathryn went on to complete her training contract with Shoosmiths LLP in September 2019, qualifying at the firm in September 2021. During
her training contract, Kathryn completed secondments with Lloyds Bank and
Virgin Media.
