Profile

Lauranne first gained experience in ALTIUS’ commercial and data protection department where she worked for three and a half year. She advised on privacy questions, ICT, and commercial law (particularly, packaging and labelling, the distance selling of goods, and, more generally, compliance with the Belgian Code of Economic Law).

Subsequently she went on a backpacking trip. Upon her return, she decided to further develop her legal skills in ALTIUS’ dispute resolution department. Lauranne now focuses on legal proceedings (including arbitration), advising on litigation strategies and legal issues in the field of private international law, commercial law (packaging, labelling and distance selling of goods), criminal law, distribution law and insolvency law.

Lauranne is certified to submit petitions in criminal matters to the Court of Cassation. During her studies, she became a board member, and later the vice-president of ELSA (the European Law Student Association).

During her LL.M at the London School of Economics and Political Science, Lauranne was elected to represent the LSE at the Arbitrators Mediation Competition.
