She provides legal advice to clients on diverse issues of law in dispute resolution, labour and employment, and the transportation industry. She regularly represents major international and maritime clients at various courts for aviation and maritime-related claims.

She is also part of the team involved in the review of select maritime legislations in the industry, such as the Suppression of Piracy and Other Maritime Offences Act (SPOMO) Act and the Cabotage Act.

As part of the dispute resolution practice, Linda is an excellent courtroom advocate with keen attention to detail and has successfully obtained judgments from the magistrates courts, High Courts, and appellate courts. She is part of the team that challenged an action brought at the High Court in disregard of a foreign jurisdiction clause and canvassed the position that the court should refer the action to the foreign forum stated in the contract as a foreign jurisdiction clause in a contract is legally enforceable and is not an ouster clause and recently obtained judgments from both the High Court and the Court of Appeal affirming the principle of law that a foreign jurisdiction clause is enforceable and not an ouster clause.

Linda’s labour and employment advisories have involved unique legal issues around moonlighting, union activities, retrenchment, on-call compensation requirements, etc. She represents clients at the National Industrial Court of Nigeria on issues of labour and employment bothering on dismissal, withheld remittances, unfair labour practices, termination of employment, amongst others.
