Lori’s practice focuses on representing owners, developers, lenders, borrowers, landlords and tenants in commercial real estate transactions, including commercial acquisitions and dispositions, formation of private equity funds and joint ventures, real estate finance, construction lending, development and office and retail leasing.

Relevant Experience

  • Represented Vanbarton Group, LLC in the $76 million acquisition and financing of 33 Caton Place in Windsor Terrace, Brooklyn. The property, an eight-story luxury rental building known as The Kestrel, is just steps from Prospect Park.
  • Represented Savanna in the $33.7 million acquisition of 95 Evergreen Avenue, a 170,000-square-foot warehouse building in Bushwick, Brooklyn that was originally constructed as the historic Schlitz Brewery.
  • Represented a commercial real estate developer in a joint venture with a Saudi investor to purchase a development site in the Nolita neighborhood of Manhattan. The site, currently a parking garage, will be redeveloped as a luxury condominium.
  • Represented seller in the complex sale of a 500-acre site of a former petroleum terminal in New York City to a joint venture of real estate and major sports developers.
  • Represented a foreign bank in a 750,000-square-foot headquarters lease to a major financial services institution in midtown Manhattan.
  • Represented an agency of New York State in ground leasing and redevelopment of hotel and retail sites in Times Square.
  • Represented a sportswear company in a 150,000-square-foot headquarters office lease in midtown Manhattan.
  • Represented an investment advisor in formation of funds structured for pension-fund and other tax-exempt investors, as well as purchases and sales by the funds of hotel, retail and office properties.
  • Represented a lender in refinancing of loans to a national hotel chain.
