Profile
Luis represents clients in connection with mergers and acquisitions and other strategic transactions on both the buy-side and sell-side. He also advises on corporate governance matters and general corporate needs.
Luis joined the firm in 2020, returning to his hometown of Richmond after beginning his career in New York. He works with clients on due diligence matters, coordinating with a variety of transaction specialists to assess deal risks; negotiates acquisition and ancillary agreements, focusing on the most legally significant issues to facilitate an efficient process; executes on the myriad components of transactions to reach quick and efficient closings; and advises on post-closing governance and indemnification matters.
Luis served as a judicial intern with the Honorable Royce C. Lamberth, United States District Court for the District of Columbia, Summer 2014.
