Marta Cera is an associate partner at Ellex in Latvia, who specializes in Banking & Finance and M&A. Marta is one of the leading Banking & Finance attorneys in the market and co-heads the firm's Banking & Finance practice.

Marta has an especially strong transactional background, regularly assisting clients in cross-border secured lending and structured financing transactions as well as often provides advice to clients on significant M&A and private equity transactions, especially when involving significant financing aspects.

Marta is also one of the most experienced investment fund lawyers in the market and has developed the firm's investment fund practice, having assisted the largest investment funds in the region throughout the fund's lifecycle.

Marta also has considerable knowledge in capital markets and is one of the contact persons at Ellex in Latvia for the NASDAQ First North Certified Advisor programme whose aim is to provide guidance and support for companies during the listing process in the stock exchange.

In 2020 Marta obtained a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) certificate from the Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists (ACAMS).
