Profile

Martin Klingler specializes in litigation in criminal and civil matters. He advises and represents injured parties, defendants and third parties in white collar criminal cases, including in the field of asset recovery. His practice also includes advising and assisting individuals and legal entities in corporate and administrative investigations.

Martin Klingler completed his legal studies at the University of Fribourg, Switzerland, with a special mention for having obtained both his bachelor’s degree in 2006 and his master’s degree in 2008 in German and French. After law school, he worked at the Office of the Attorney General of Switzerland in the National Security Division and at the law enforcement authority of the Canton of Berne. Thereafter, he worked as an adjunct court clerk at the Regional Court of Bernese Oberland in Thun and has subsequently practiced for several years as an attorney at a law firm in the city of Berne. As a research assistant at the chair for procedural and international private law at the University of Fribourg, he wrote his thesis on private claims in criminal proceedings pursuant to article 122 of the Swiss Criminal Procedure Code. He joined the Walder Wyss team in 2021.

Martin Klingler speaks German, French and English. He is admitted to the Zurich Bar and authorized to practice law throughout Switzerland.
