Matthew Beck is an associate in the Intellectual Property Practice Group in Haynes Boone’s Washington, D.C. office. His practice focuses on patent disputes before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB), patent prosecution, and patent counseling.

Matthew has experience in inter partes review proceedings before the USPTO. He also has experience prosecuting patent applications in various fields and maintains an active pro bono docket.

Matthew’s technical expertise includes a wide array of technologies including video compression and encoding, artificial intelligence, networking, and computer hardware and software.

Prior to law school, Matthew studied computer science at Lafayette College, where he competed in track and field and served as an advocate for mental health awareness in collegiate athletics. As a student, he worked with multiple local nonprofits on both front and back end development of education information software.
