Matthew Ginder is Partner in the Cannabis Law practice group at Greenspoon Marder.  Mr. Ginder represents various cannabis and hemp related businesses where he assists in many areas of the industry, including licensing, regulatory and compliance, and business transactions. He also represents ancillary businesses who provide products or services to the cannabis industry and advises individuals, investors, lenders, startups, and large corporations on direct and indirect participation in state-legal cannabis markets.  Mr. Ginder serves on the Legal Committee of the Florida Hemp Council. In 2016, Mr. Ginder co-founded a nonprofit organization called the Organization for Safe Cannabis Regulation (OSCR), which advocates on behalf of cannabis related businesses in Florida.  He also represents the firm as a founding member of the National Cannabis Roundtable chaired by former House Speaker John Boehner.  In 2018, Mr. Ginder was named one of the “30 Most Powerful Cannabis Attorneys You Should Know” by mg Magazine, and is ranked in the Chambers & Partners USA guide in the "Cannabis Law: Eastern United States" category. He is frequently sought after to comment on the medical marijuana and hemp markets and has been quoted extensively in several well-known publications, including Fortune, Reuters, Sun-Sentinel, and Law360 to name a few.

Prior to joining Greenspoon Marder, Mr. Ginder worked for a national law firm where he focused his practice on defending broker-dealers and registered representatives in securities related cases filed in federal and state courts, as well as FINRA arbitration proceedings. Additionally, Mr. Ginder represented individuals and entities in commercial disputes involving real estate, investments, and construction.

While in law school, Mr. Ginder clerked for two global law firms where he assisted in the practice of estate planning and commercial litigation.
