Matt's practice focuses on complex business litigation, insurance coverage advice and related coverage litigation.

Matt handles complex insurance matters, including coverage counseling and advice, as well as litigation. He has experience with a range of insurance contracts, including directors & officers liability, professional liability, general liability insurance policies, and various reinsurance agreements.

Matt served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Gerald Bruce Lee of the US District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia in 2010, and served as an intern in the Office of General Counsel for the United States Department of Justice US Marshals Service.

Relevant Experience

• Develops insurance coverage strategies for clients, including researching and drafting coverage opinions and position letters.
• Negotiates settlements and participates in mediations on behalf of clients.
• Participates in all aspects of coverage litigation, including discovery, motions practice, briefing and trial preparation.
