Max is a member of Carey Olsen's corporate and finance practice, based in Bermuda.

Max advises on all aspects of corporate and commercial law with a particular focus on the (re)insurance, investment funds, financial services and private equity sectors including entity formation (companies, segregated account/portfolio companies, LLCs, unit trusts and partnerships), licensing, equity issuances, mergers and acquisitions, shareholder arrangements, listings, migrations, reorganisations, corporate governance and regulatory advice.

In his finance practice, Max advises a range of clients on matters relating to lending and financing including acquisition, asset and fund finance as well as advice relating to debt issuances and regulatory capital for insurance companies. 

Max is ranked as a "Notable Practitioner" by IFLR1000.

Before joining Carey Olsen, Max practised in the Corporate/M&A/Capital Markets team at Clayton Utz in Sydney and prior to that was an associate at another law firm in Bermuda. He was admitted as a lawyer of New South Wales in 2020 and called to the Bermuda Bar in 2015.
 
Max obtained his LLB from the University of Southampton and his LPC from BPP Holborn.
