Profile
Megan Dhillon regularly advises healthcare providers, including hospitals, health systems, long-term care facilities, ambulatory surgery centers, physician practices, and licensed healthcare practitioners. She counsels these providers in corporate, transactional, regulatory, and operational matters. She regularly advises providers on issues pertaining to compliance with the Medicare Conditions of Participation and Coverage, HIPAA, the False Claims Act, the Stark Law, and the Anti-Kickback Statute; the laws and regulations governing payment from Medicare, Medicaid, TRICARE, and commercial payers; professional and facility licensure; and Medicare and Medicaid enrollment.
Megan participates in client teams for acquisitions, integrations, and affiliations, and has experience in negotiating deals, conducting due diligence, drafting purchase and sale agreements and other related transaction documents, and advising on post-closing contract matters. Megan also provides counsel on various hospital-physician affiliations, including management agreements, physician employment agreements, and administrative and professional services agreements.
In addition to transactional counsel, her practice includes negotiating and drafting clinical research agreements, providing guidance regarding FDA compliance, and assisting clients in conducting internal investigations. Megan also represents providers in informal dispute resolution proceedings and in all levels of the Medicare and Medicaid administrative appeals processes. Megan provides guidance to insurers, brokerage agencies, and other downstream entities on CMS requirements for Medicare Advantage plans.
Prior to joining Bradley, Megan worked for a full-service law firm in D.C. and a boutique healthcare firm in Virginia. Her experience also includes working with Virginia’s Department of Medical Assistance Services, where she was a hearing and legal services officer and a Medicaid appeals specialist in the Appeals Division. She also was a fellow in the Health Services Section of the Office of the Attorney General of Virginia. Megan is active in the American Health Lawyers Association.
