Profile

Mike McKibben was a partner when he retired at Bradley. He litigated and tried cases in federal, state, and arbitration venues for three decades. He was privileged to represent the interests of Alabama-based and national healthcare providers in both professional and commercial litigation. He defended product makers in the consumer goods and other industries for his entire career. Mike successfully tried jury cases involving wrongful death and permanent injury claims involving topics from ovens to sailboats to tires; some of his cases included such products as construction heaters, smoke detectors, home space heaters, marine recreational products, and kitchen appliances.

Mike regularly advised business clients with respect to antitrust, business torts, and business litigation matters. Like his partners in the group, Mike strove to identify the client's options and goals early in a case, and developed a strategy designed to get the matter to trial, summary judgment, mediation, or negotiation as effectively and efficiently as possible.

Mike's professional negligence defense work included both medical and accounting clients. His healthcare litigation involved extensive time spent in defense of physicians, nurses, anesthetists, and related health service providers.

Mike was listed in The Best Lawyers in America® for Medical Malpractice, Personal Injury Defense and Business Litigation, as well as Benchmark Litigation in the Alabama Litigation section, and Mid-South Super Lawyers for Business Litigation.
