Michael Febbo focuses on patent prosecution, patent validity and infringement analysis, transactional patent due diligence and patent licensing. With over 15 years of experience across numerous high-tech industries, Michael has developed technical knowledge in areas such as:

• Wireless communications
• Materials including silicon and compound semiconductors, magnetic materials, amorphous alloys and solder alloys.

Prior to joining Quarles, Michael was senior in-house patent counsel at a major multinational information technology company, where he supported numerous research departments in all phases of patent development, conducted patent due-diligence and integration for mergers and acquisitions, and conducted patent analyses to support standard development, licensing and litigation.

Michael focuses on developing an individualized strategy for each patent in view of the client’s goals, supported by a deep understanding of the technology and its interplay with business strategy.
