Michael Peña is an associate in Bradley’s Litigation Practice Group. Michael has experience in matters involving complex business disputes, employee non-compete agreements, breach of contract, misappropriation of trade secrets, breach of fiduciary duty, and defamation.

Before joining Bradley, Michael clerked for the Hon. Matthew J. Kacsmaryk of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas. During that time, Michael worked on many high-profile cases concerning civil rights and constitutional claims, Medicaid fraud, and suits brought against the federal government under the Administrative Procedure Act.

Prior to law school, Michael was a combat engineer in the U.S. Army, serving two tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. His unit earned the Valorous Unit Award for extraordinary heroism against an armed enemy, while Michael earned a Combat Action Badge and several other individual awards and promotions. Michael then re-classed and attended Explosive Ordinance Disposal (EOD) school, where he graduated the first phase second-in-class before he was medically retired. 

Michael received his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law, where he received the prestigious Karsh-Dillard Scholarship and was on the editorial board of the Virginia Journal of Social Policy & the Law. He also earned a B.A. in Philosophy with a minor in Spanish from the University of the Incarnate Word, where he earned the top award in the university’s philosophy department.
