Ms. Gutiérrez Velasco graduated as an attorney from Universidad del Rosario, with majors / postgraduate degrees in Commercial and Corporate Law from the same institution. In addition, Ms. Gutiérrez-Velasco has a Master of Laws (LLM) with Honors from Northwestern University, with emphasis in corporate matters (business associations, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate governance).

As associate of the Corporate/M&A practice of the firm, she advices national and foreign companies in connection with its corporate and commercial legal needs, as: incorporations, reorganizations, mergers, spin-off, shareholders agreements, corporate bodies decision-making, corporate governance principles, capitalizations, and structuring and reviewing contractual and commercial matters, which includes drafting and reviewing commercial agreements related with the operation and transactions of the clients (e.g. distribution and commercial agency agreements, joint ventures), and integral assistance for the development of business in Colombia by means of the incorporation of legal vehicles of investment.
