As a member of the financial institutions corporate and regulatory practice, Patrick assists banks and non-bank financial technology companies with a wide range of legal and regulatory matters related to banking and other financial products and services. He specializes in advising clients on developing innovative financial products and services, including navigating various legal and regulatory matters related to digital banking, fintech, payments, virtual currency, and digital assets.

Prior to joining the firm, Patrick served as in-house counsel at a large bank where he focused on digital banking, fintech, and payments.

• Regularly counsels clients on compliance with federal and state law applicable to digital payments and virtual currencies, including state and federal money transmission laws and licensing regimes, Regulation E, and the Bank Secrecy Act.

• Assists financial institutions with establishing and maintaining strategic partnerships for financial technology products and services.
