Rebecca Ebokpo is a Senior Associate in the regulatory compliance, international trade, corporate and commercial, and dispute resolution practice groups of AELEX. She has extensive experience in advising on foreign direct investment and foreign portfolio investment in Nigeria. Rebecca also advises clients on immigration formalities, due diligence and corporate restructuring. She is an expert in providing legal opinions on complex corporate governance, restructuring and regulatory issues. Rebecca represents litigants in various courts throughout Nigeria. She is a TRACE and NCMI certified compliance officer with expertise in anti-money laundering, anti-bribery, and corruption matters.

She was part of the team that advised a joint venture arrangement between the Nigerian government and a foreign satellite provider. She also led the team that advised one of the major shareholders in the acquisition of a pension fund administrator in Nigeria. As an international trade law specialist, she was seconded to the National Action Committee on the AfCFTA where she played a pivotal role in coordinating the business services workstream and contributed enormously to the national AfCFTA strategy. She regularly interfaces with various agencies of the federal government, regional bodies, and trade organisations.
