Assistance on biology, chemistry and biomedical engineering patents

Remy Cooper helps prepare and prosecute patent applications with a focus on biology, chemistry and biomedical engineering.

Prior to joining the firm, she was a patent examiner for the United States Patent and Trademark Office, where she conducted substantive examination of applications comprising specifications and claims in the field of biomedical imaging, diagnostic equipment and treatment devices. Remy also worked as a licensing liaison in a university technology transfer office, where she solicited and reviewed invention disclosures from faculty, staff and students that included research conducted with federal government funding. With several years of experience as a research scientist, she has authored scientific research papers and prepared invention disclosures relating to drug delivery formulations.

Remy’s experience with intellectual property from an invention’s conception to patent allowance provides her with a well-rounded perspective of all stakeholder interests during patent prosecution.
