Profile

Robin's practice is focused on commercial real estate finance.

Robin is an associate on the firm’s capital finance and real estate team. Her practice focuses on advising lenders and investors in all aspects of real estate financing, including joint venture and preferred equity agreements.

Prior to joining Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP, Robin worked for Kroll Bond Rating Agency (KBRA) as managing director in the commercial real estate legal group, where she was the head of the CRE finance legal group and the primary legal analyst for CMBS and complex CRE and hybrid transactions, including CRE CLOs. Prior to her time at KBRA, Robin spent eight years in private practice as a CRE securitization lawyer representing issuers, underwriters and collateral managers in CMBS and CRE CDO transactions.

Relevant Experience

  • Represents lenders in debt and equity financings.
  • Drafts and negotiates loan, security, options, joint venture and preferred equity agreements for commercial real estate clients.
  • Negotiates and drafts participation, co-lender and intercreditor agreements.
  • Represents underwriters and initial purchasers on CMBS transactions and negotiates underwriting agreements and PSAs.
  • Drafts and negotiates co-lender and participation agreements.
  • Issuer’s counsel for several CRE CDOs; responsible for drafting and negotiating offering materials and operative documents with rating agencies, collateral managers, servicers and trustees.
  • Counseled initial purchasers on seven CRE CDO transactions backed by both static and managed pools of commercial mortgage loans, CMBS, B notes, participations, mezzanine loans, CDO securities, CTL loans, and REIT debt securities.
