Profile
As a US-qualified associate, Ryan focuses his practice on development and financing of energy and infrastructure projects, international acquisitions, investments, joint ventures and other cross-border commercial transactions in the Asia-Pacific region.
His experience includes advising on and preparing transaction documents for complex, international energy and infrastructure projects. He is regularly involved in drafting and preparing various project, financial and security documents, as well as attending to post-completion matters. Ryan also advises Korean clients on general corporate and regulatory compliance matters. He is fluent in Korean, and has a deep understanding of Korean business culture, accompanied by extensive international work experience.
Relevant Experience
- Advised on power purchase, coal supply, compliance and governance, and finance matters relating to the 455 MW supercritical coal-fired power plant in Quezon Province, the Philippines.
- Advised on commercial, corporate governance and general advisory matters relating to the 1.8 GW Paju LNG-fired power facility in Korea.
- Conducted due diligence and prepared transaction documents for a joint venture arrangement between a Thai company and Korean company in respect of a fuel cell power plant in Korea.
- Conducted due diligence and prepared transaction documents for the sale of a foreign subsidiary of a multinational packaging company.
