Profile

Sabrina Strand is an associate in the Cannabis and Tax practice groups at Greenspoon Marder LLP. She focuses her practice on civil and criminal tax controversy, including federal and state taxation, as well as audits and audit reconsiderations.

Ms. Strand earned her Juris Doctorate from the Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego, California, graduating with honors. While simultaneously enrolled in law school, she worked with a law group on a class action lawsuit by conducting extensive legal research and drafting portions of a response to a Motion for Summary Judgement for the case. Ms. Strand later went on to receive a Master of Laws degree in Taxation from the Sturm College of Law at the University of Denver. During her studies, Ms. Strand interned at the United States Tax Court in Washington, D.C. for the Honorable Elizabeth Crewson Paris. Upon completion of her LL.M. degree, Ms. Strand returned to Washington, D.C. to clerk for the Honorable Judge Paris.  Ms. Strand is the Assistant Director of the University of Denver’s Low Income Taxpayer Clinic and a visiting assistant professor of the practice of taxation at the University’s Sturm College of Law.
