Sandra has focused her practice on administrative law and Intellectual Property, and legal due diligence functions. During her career, Ms. Amaya has specialized in the areas of trademarks and distinctive signs, patents, copyrights and related rights, international conciliation and arbitration, brand management and evaluation. She also has extensive experience in the applicability of industrial designs, designations of origin and geographical indications, as well as in the application of chapter XV on intellectual property of the RD-CAFTA Free Trade Agreement: Intellectual Property Regime; She specializes in the defense of Unfair Competition, piracy of signals, piracy in the music industry, falsifications in industrial Property.
