Shawn’s practice focuses on all aspects of environmental law.

Shawn is a member of the firm's environmental team with an emphasis on air permitting and enforcement, wetlands, hazardous waste management, voluntary remediation, climate change, Clean Water Act compliance, economic development, and environmental aspects of business transactions.

Prior to earning his JD, Shawn was a summer associate with Hunton & Williams and had internships in Washington, DC at the Bar Environmental, Energy and Natural Resources (EENR) Section, the Natural Resource Defense Council, and the Environmental Law Institute.

Relevant Experience

• Assisted with representation of a client in obtaining a PSD/Title V permit.
• Assisted with enforcement defense related to Clean Air Act and CERCLA.
• Assisted with projects concerning the Clean Water Act based on non-compliance by various companies in the VA/MD/DC region.
• Conducted research and assisted with the development of a toolkit regarding private sector participation in International Waters Management projects.
