Profile

Shelley Waldron serves as Patterson Belknap’s Director of E-Discovery and Client Services.  As a leader with experience as a practicing attorney, technologist and E-Discovery consultant, she brings a broad, client-focused vision to bear in leading the Firm’s eDiscovery project managers and para professionals. She is skilled and experienced in assisting clients with various aspects of data management, discovery technology and practice innovation and understanding the interplay of those concepts with privacy, cybersecurity and information governance. Ms. Waldron has significant experience in the legal, practical and technological applications of E-Discovery, from drafting and negotiating ESI protocols and TAR stipulations to identifying, collecting and producing data for legal purposes, to designing time and cost-saving workflows using artificial intelligence and machine learning. She has significant experience in technology-assisted review (TAR), and proudly serves as an advisor for an eDiscovery scholarship board.

Ms. Waldron is certified in E-Discovery Analytics, and a frequent presenter on topics related to E-Discovery, analytics, privacy, and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in technology and law. She is a member of the Sedona Conference Working Group 1 (Electronic Document Retention and Production) and Working Group 11 (Data Security and Privacy Liability).

Before joining the Firm, she counseled clients as an E-Discovery attorney, was responsible for E-Discovery as well as Litigation and Practice Support for the East Coast Region of an international law firm, served as Director of Analytics and Managed Review for a strategic E-Discovery consulting firm and had the distinct honor of consulting on the creation of one of the industry’s first TAR offerings.
