Shubeena Chib is a Ph.D. Patent Specialist with experience drafting and prosecuting patents in a wide range of scientific and technical fields. Her recent work as a Patent Technical Advisor at McCoy Russell LLP has helped her develop a keen understanding of how to protect valuable business assets.

Previously, Shubeena worked as a Technology Transfer Fellow at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU), where she managed OHSU’s intellectual property portfolio with specific focus on prior art search, patentability analysis, and patent drafting to protect scientific innovations. This followed her OHSU neurobiology research associate work, where she led projects associated with identification and validation of biomarkers for Alzheimer’s disease, and postdoctoral work focusing on virology.

During Shubeena’s years as a research associate, postdoctoral fellow, and graduate student, she published six peer-reviewed articles. Her Ph.D. education and postdoc research experience make her a premier consultant on the patentability of new scientific inventions, providing valuable insight to our healthcare and life sciences clients innovating with new techniques and products.
