Profile
Stephanie Bunting Glaser is Counsel in the firm’s Intellectual Property Transactions practice. Ms. Glaser advises arts and cultural organizations and other tax-exempt entities as well as for-profit companies and creators on a broad range of intellectual property matters, with an emphasis on advising on complex copyright issues. She counsels clients on all aspects of copyright law, including registration, duration, termination, ownership, copyrightability, licensing, infringement, fair use and enforcement.
Ms. Glaser also helps clients protect their brands and register and enforce their trademarks and advises clients on best practices and policies to maximize trade secret protection. She counsels clients on online privacy issues, including drafting privacy policies and compliance with privacy laws and regulations.
In addition to counseling, Ms. Glaser negotiates intellectual property licenses and related commercial and art law agreements for a broad range of clients including artists, artist-endowed foundations, private foundations, public charities, galleries, online and print publishers and global media and technology companies. Examples of such agreements include publishing agreements, artist catalogue raisonné agreements, gift agreements, consulting and service agreements, software agreements, database licensing agreements, subscriber agreements, music and photography licenses, talent agency agreements, collaboration and joint ownership agreements, production agreements and clearances, and confidentiality and nondisclosure agreements.
Her transactional practice also involves advising on creative deal structuring, contract negotiation and due diligence on the intellectual property aspects of larger corporate transactions such as mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, grants, loans, distribution agreements and strategic alliances.
Ms. Glaser previously served as a law clerk to the Hon. Stewart G. Pollock of the New Jersey Supreme Court.
