Profile
Theresa Munaco is an associate in Dykema's Detroit office. Her practice focuses on business and commercial litigation in the areas of contract disputes, automotive dealer and supplier disputes, healthcare disputes, financial services litigation, insurance litigation, and intra-entity business disputes including fiduciary duty claims, shareholder oppression, and derivative suits. Ms. Munaco also has worked on products liability and toxic tort litigation, consumer warranty claims, Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (“CERCLA”) cost recovery and contribution claims, and class actions brought under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (“TCPA”).
Ms. Munaco maintains a strong commitment to pro bono practice and has represented clients in several areas including immigration, legal name changes, Section 1983 Civil Rights claims, record expungements, and estate planning.
While in law school, Ms. Munaco served as an Associate Editor and Membership Coordinator for the Michigan Journal of Gender and Law and as the Mentorship Chair of the Women Law Students Association. Ms. Munaco also worked as a student attorney for the Michigan Low Income Taxpayer Clinic, the Michigan Pediatric Advocacy Clinic, and the Michigan Unemployment Insurance Clinic, where she served as a student supervisor and teaching assistant.
