Profile
Before establishing Han Kun Associated Hong Kong firm, Mr. Miao practiced laws at
Morrison & Foerster, Latham & Watkins and Linklaters, the leading international law
firms, for many years. Mr. Miao once served as the Associate General Counsel at
American International Assurance Company Limited, an international insurance
company. Prior to joining private practice, Mr. Miao also worked as a senior statistician
for several leading international health care, pharmaceutical and life sciences
companies in the U.S.
Mr. Miao has represented a multitude of clients, working on numerous equity capital
market transactions involving PRC corporations and international underwriters,
including global offerings and listings on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, initial public
offerings and secondary offerings registered with the U.S. Securities and Exchange
Commission, rights issues and private placements. Mr. Miao has also provided legal
advices to a large number of Hong Kong listed companies in relation to regulatory and
compliance matters, merge and acquisition, pre-IPO investment and general corporate
matters.
Mr. Miao also has extensive experience in licensing applications from the Securities &
Futures Commission of Hong Kong, the Office of the Commissioner of Insurance and
other regulatory institutions as well as acquisitions of licensed corporations.

In addition, he is the corporate finance specialist as recognized by the Hong Kong Securities Institute.
