MOP announces portfolio of USD 5.8 billion in new concessions
Chile’s Ministry of Public Works (MOP) announced 11 new projects that will be constructed throughout the country. This announcement is the first call for public works tenders since the beginning of President Boric’s term in office. The portfolio of concessions planned for 2023 calls for investments totaling USD 5.8 billion.

- New Route 5 in the Santiago-Los Vilos section - USD 1.2 billion- Deadline for bids: March 2024
- North Access to Concepción (second concession) - USD 564 million - Deadline for bids: April 2024
- La Araucanía Region Airport (second concession) - USD 92 million – Call for bids: October 2023
- Second concession of Route 5 in the Temuco - Río Bueno section - USD 675 million – Call for bids: October 2023
- Pie de Monte Route (Biobío region) - USD 416 million – Call for bids: October 2023
- Laguna de Talca Prison - USD 23 million – Call for bids: December 2023
- North airport network (3rd Andrés Sabella, 2nd Atacama Desert) - USD 288 million - Call for bids: December 2023
