Carey Olsen advises on launch of new private capital administration business, Palmer

Palmer was founded by chief executive officer Martin Schnaier, chief financial officer James Ireland, chief legal officer James Bermingham, chief commercial officer Jason Bingham and chief technology officer Phil Godley. All have previously held senior leadership positions in the industry, including at FTSE 250 company, Sanne Group plc, prior to its take-private in 2022. 

Carey Olsen advised Palmer and its founding management team on all Jersey aspects of corporate structuring and regulatory licensing prior to the launch in January 2024. 

The Carey Olsen team was led by corporate partner David Taylor, assisted by corporate senior associate Steven Khan. Carey Olsen's Jersey regulatory team comprised counsel Arindam Madhuryya, senior associate Mike Kushner and associate Thomas Bulfin.
