DATAGROUP Expands its Service Portfolio with IT-Informatik GmbH
A team led by Dr. Rainer Herschlein advised DATAGROUP on the acquisition of parts of IT-Informatik GmbH from insolvency. DATAGROUP takes over all shares in Mercoline GmbH and in IT Digitalizacion 4.0 Industrial Internacional S.L., as well as employees and assets of IT-Informatik GmbH. IT-Informatik GmbH was founded in 1987 in Ulm and is a specialist for SAP consulting and maintenance, cloud infrastructure, and software development. In May 2019, the company had to file an application for reorganization under self-administration. The takeover occurred retroactively effective August 1, 2019. DATAGROUP SE expands its existing service portfolio by taking over some 300 experts for SAP, infrastructure, and software development. Following the acquisition, DATAGROUP is considered one of Germany’s leading providers of SAP operating services with more than 500 employees in the SAP sector. DATAGROUP is based in Pliezhausen. A total of 2,000 employees design, implement, and operate IT infrastructures and business applications. DATAGROUP has a history of acquiring companies and corporate units. It has been regularly advised on these transactions by Stuttgart-based Partner Dr. Rainer Herschlein and his team, most recently on the acquisition of UBL Informationssysteme GmbH.
