Christian Gonzalez Elected Executive Officer of Hispanic National Bar Association

Dinsmore & Shohl LLP’s Christian Gonzalez has been named vice president of membership of the Hispanic National Bar Association (HNBA). Gonzalez will serve on the organization’s national board of governors. He is also a member of Dinsmore’s Board of Directors, Finance Committee, the Diversity Committee and Co-Chairs the firm’s Recruiting Committee.

A partner in Dinsmore’s Columbus office, Gonzalez has previously served as president of HNBA’s Region 10 from 2015-2018, which represents Ohio, Kentucky and Tennessee. His goal as president was to build membership through key partnerships with corporations in the region and nationally. The program since, has tremendously grown, starting with small contingent of participants to now having members in multiple states.

I have been involved with the HNBA since I was in law school and want to continue creating a pipeline for future students and bring more diversity inclusion to the legal field,”

A member of Dinsmore’s corporate department, Gonzalez’s practice focuses on corporate, banking and securities law, including mergers and acquisitions, venture capital, federal securities law compliance, public and private stock offerings, capital formation, regulatory compliance, and general corporate governance matters.

Gonzalez has experience servicing financial sector clients ranging from multi-billion-dollar public financial institutions to community banks and thrifts. He counsels financial institutions in strategic growth planning, holding company formation, M&A transactions and other critical situations and has a broad range of experience in complex transactional, securities, regulatory, governance and compliance matters impacting this highly regulated and ever-evolving sector. Gonzalez has also been a resource for the firm’s leadership, covering the impact of Dodd-Frank Act regulations on the firm’s financial sector clients.
