National Diversity Council Names Alison Ashmore one of the “2019 Dallas Top Women in Legal”

Dykema, a leading national law firm, is proud to announce that Alison Ashmore, Dallas-based member in the firm’s Litigation Department, was named one of the “2019 Dallas Top Women in Legal” by the National Diversity Council (NDC) and its affiliate, the Texas Diversity Council (TXDC). Ashmore was presented the award at an award breakfast during the 3rd Annual Dallas Legal Diversity Week on Sept. 24 at the Dallas Marriot City Center.

The mission of the NDC is to be both a resource and an advocate for the value of diversity and inclusion. The NDC serves as the umbrella organization to support its statewide and regional affiliates, which foster an understanding of diversity and inclusion as a dynamic strategy for business success and community well-being through various initiatives. Through a variety of events and programs, the TXDC serves as a resource for diversity best practices and leadership development in Texas.

Ashmore is one of only 19 attorneys to receive this recognition in 2019. In her practice, Ashmore works with clients to address a broad range of business issues. She regularly counsels clients on disputes with customers, partners, and employees, and on protecting confidential business information. In her litigation practice, Alison handles breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, fraud, fraudulent transfer, unfair competition, misappropriation of trade secrets, and other business claims. She represents clients in a variety of industries including real estate, construction, insurance, energy, and technology. Ashmore also has she has broad experience representing clients in both state and federal court, bankruptcy court, arbitrations, and administrative bodies.
