Shoosmiths Ushers in the New Year with Key Partner and Associate Appointments in Scotland
National law firm Shoosmiths has further underlined its strategic intent in the Scottish market with the New Year appointment of two highly experienced new partners and two associates across its Edinburgh and Glasgow locations.
Kim Pattullo has joined Shoosmiths’ as partner and head of its employment team in Edinburgh. One of the country’s leading employment lawyers and an expert in restructuring/reorganisations, Pattullo has delivered high quality advisory and contentious employment law services to a range of clients across Scotland and the UK for over 25 years. She has moved from Addleshaw Goddard where she led the employment team in Edinburgh.
Helen McBride (legal PA) Jacqueline Alleyne (real estate associate), Collette Gibson (real estate associate) and Fiona Cameron (banking partner)Fiona Cameron has been appointed as a banking partner in Shoosmiths’ Glasgow location. A specialist in finance and banking, she offers Shoosmiths’ client bank over thirteen years' experience of acting for lenders and borrowers in various transactions. She focuses on real estate finance, asset finance and general corporate banking. Cameron, previously a managing associate at Brodies LLP, will work closely with Alison Gilson, partner and head of corporate for Shoosmiths in Scotland.
As a further sign of its commitment to support clients and develop new business opportunities in the west of Scotland, Shoosmiths has also recently appointed Jacqueline Alleyne and Collette Gibson as real estate associates within its Glasgow operation. They join a 25+ strong real estate team in Scotland led by partner Steve Dougherty. Helen McBride has also joined the Glasgow team as a legal PA.
Jacqueline, previously at Wright Johnstone Mackenzie in Glasgow, will focus on housebuilding, general development, investment work and renewable energy projects. Collette, who has come to Shoosmiths from Curle Stewart and Lindsays in Glasgow, will support banking partner Fiona Cameron and real estate partner Barry McKeown on real estate finance projects, investment work and residential development briefs.
