Dinsmore’s Aimee Stern Elected Partner Of Counsel in Wheeling
Dinsmore & Shohl LLP is pleased to announce Aimee M. Stern has been elected as partner of counsel, effective Jan. 1, 2020. Stern is joined by 17 others who have been promoted to partner to begin the new decade.
Dinsmore started to expand in West Virginia in 2007, and Stern joined the firm that year with a group of attorneys from Thorp, Reed & Armstrong.
“My career journey has been a bit different from most new partners, as I joined the firm as an associate of counsel, and I have continued in an of-counsel role to the present time” Stern said. “I think it speaks volumes about the culture of the firm that an associate of counsel has the opportunity to become a partner. Being named a partner at Dinsmore has certainly been my greatest career achievement to date.”
A member of the firm’s litigation department, Stern focuses her practice primarily on workers’ compensation matters. She represents a wide variety of clients in Ohio and West Virginia, ranging from small entities to larger, self-insured corporations.
With goals of continuing the expansion and growth of Dinsmore’s West Virginia workers’ compensation practice, Stern plans to spend time on the attraction and retention of new West Virginia clients, and to help increase the number of attorneys joining the West Virginia workers’ compensation group.
“When we empower our attorneys, great things happen,” said Dinsmore Chairman and Managing Partner George Vincent. “I’m looking forward to this generation putting their stamp on the firm. I have nothing but excitement for the future.”
