WuXi Biologics Acquires from Bayer a Drug Product Plant with Heuking

| A team led by Dirk W. Kolvenbach advised the globally active company WuXi Biologics on the acquisition of a sterile filling and freeze-drying plant from Bayer AG. The plant is designed for the filling and freeze-drying of the blood-coagulation medication Kovaltry®. The plant will be operated on the premises of the Chempark in Leverkusen. For this purpose, a long-term sublease agreement for the use of the building was concluded. The plant, which will be operated by WuXi Biologics in the future, will serve as a back-up site for the final production of Kovaltry®. A corresponding production agreement is still to be negotiated and concluded. The transaction is expected to be completed in the coming months, provided that the usual closing conditions are met.
