American Chamber of Commerce in Italy awards GOP the Transatlantic Award 2019

December, 2019 - Rome, Italy

Milan, December 18, 2019 – The international law firm Gianni, Origoni, Grippo, Cappelli & Partners has been awarded the Transatlantic Award 2019 by the American Chamber of Commerce in Italy, the recognition reserved for organizations that have distinguished themselves in fostering the development of transatlantic relations between Italy and the United States. GOP received the award during the traditional Transatlantic Award Gala Dinner, held on December 9 at the East End Studios in Milan.

The award acknowledges the historical bond between GOP and the United States: the firm in fact established itself in New York in 1988, the year of its launch, opening its New York branch simultaneously with the offices in Rome and Milan. A choice that still distinguishes GOP, strongly oriented towards internationalization and with a special relationship with the USA, which has always been a central part of the firm's strategy.

The award conferred by AmCham Italy underlines the growth and consolidation path of the firm in the US market, conceived and implemented since its foundation and confirmed this year with the strengthening of the New York team and the relocation to the new headquarters of One Rockefeller Plaza in New York.

Fabio Ilacqua, Managing Partner, GOP New York, said: "The United States is the place where new trends and products are born in the legal field, so since 1988 GOP has focused on this strategic market to set its path to internationalization, positioning itself as a global legal assistance hub for its Italian and foreign clients. The award from AmCham Italy is confirmation of the success of the firm in the U.S. market and the strategy adopted”.
