ENSafrica, Africa’s largest law firm, has made two key executive appointments in its tax department, further fortifying the firm’s tax capability. Kazi Mbangeleli and Mark Badenhorst have joined ENSafrica’s team of some 50-strong tax specialists, including 18 tax executives. Kazi specialises in M&A-related international tax and financial services tax. Kazi’s deep expertise includes the tax aspects of structured investments and disinvestments, M&A and offshore expansions. She also has due diligence and tax compliance expertise. Mark is an expert in transfer pricing, assisting local and international clients in navigating the highly technical complexities of transfer pricing risk management and disputes. He also has extensive experience in indirect, corporate and international tax matters relating to M&A, inward and outward investments, restructurings and rationalisations, which spans the automotive, hospitality, entertainment and gambling industries.ENSafrica’s tax department, which was once again ranked Band 1 in the recently released 2020 Chambers Global Guide, is the largest tax department of its kind in Africa, being quoted as “heavyweight” and offering clients a full spectrum specialist tax capabilities.“We are constantly looking to expand and improve our tax offering to clients,” said Peter Dachs, head of ENSafrica’s Tax team. “Mark is one of the country’s leading experts in transfer pricing, a key area of tax law and we are delighted to have him onboard.
