Spilman Brings Business Leaders Together for SuperVision

Winston-Salem, N.C. — One hundred of the region’s business leaders convened Friday at Graylyn International Conference Center to explore a crucial, compelling business question: how do human capital decisions impact a business—not just legally but also in terms of the practical consequences on a company's bottom line? The diverse group, composed of HR managers, business owners and attorneys, approached this important question from a number of perspectives in a dynamic peer-learning format known as SuperVision™. Now in its third season, the SuperVision ™ learning series is the brainchild of Spilman Thomas & Battle, PLLC, a regional law firm whose labor & employment law practice has been nationally recognized for excellence.

“We launched SuperVision as an alternative to the tired, worn-out routine of the HR law seminar,” explained Jeffrey D. Patton, member in charge of Spilman’s Winston-Salem office. “Attendees learn so much more in our SuperVision format by engaging with each other, asking questions and sharing ideas.”

Ever-changing federal and state regulatory codes and statutes, as well as advancements in technology like social media, present challenges for all business professionals who manage employees.
