Spilman Elects Five New Members

<strong>Charleston, W.Va.</strong> — Spilman Thomas & Battle (Spilman) announced that Kelly J. Kimble, Travis A. Knobbe, Brienne T. Marco, Joseph V. Schaeffer and Christina S. Terek were elected as Members of the law firm effective January 1, 2020.<br /> <br /> <a href="https://www.spilmanlaw.com/people/kelly_kimble/details">Kimble</a> is based in the firm's Morgantown, West Virginia office. She is a seasoned and accomplished trial lawyer with experience handling a wide variety of plaintiff and defense litigation. She has regularly represented clients in matters involving professional liability, employment law, asbestos litigation, commercial litigation, and general torts, with her current practice focused primarily on collections.<br /> <br /> <a href="https://www.spilmanlaw.com/people/travis_knobbe/details">Knobbe</a> is based in Spilman's Pittsburgh office. His primary areas of practice are general commercial litigation, creditors’ rights and bankruptcy litigation, and appellate litigation. He has taken jury trials to verdict in construction litigation and securities litigation. He also has taken numerous multi-day bench trials to verdict in bankruptcy, commercial, and creditors’ rights litigation.<br /> <br /> <a href="https://www.spilmanlaw.com/people/brienne_marco/details">Marco</a> splits her time between the firm's Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and Charleston, West Virginia offices. Her practice focuses on commercial transactions with an emphasis on serving health care, banking and finance, and industrial clients. She advises clients regarding contractual matters, corporate governance, and mergers and acquisitions. She also has served as outside general counsel for numerous clients throughout her career. <br /> <br /> <a href="https://www.spilmanlaw.com/people/joseph_schaeffer/details">Schaeffer</a> is based in Spilman's Morgantown, West Virginia office. He is an experienced trial and appellate litigator who has assisted public and private-sector clients in a wide range of complex matters.
