Bradley Partner Lela Hollabaugh Donates Plasma to Help COVID-19 Patients

Bradley attorney Lela Hollabaugh, the firm’s Nashville office managing partner, was featured in recent news stories for donating plasma to help those who have tested positive for COVID-19. Hollabaugh recently recovered from the coronavirus after testing positive in March. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the American Red Cross recently issued a call to individuals who are fully recovered from the coronavirus to donate plasma to help patients who are currently dealing with the virus. Convalescent plasma donated by those who have recovered from the coronavirus is a potentially life-saving treatment for patients who are critically ill.

“I want to help others who are ill and do whatever I can to help the medical community find a solution,” Hollabaugh said. “I am fortunate that my symptoms were relatively mild, and I felt ill for just a few days. I actually ran 5.5 miles the day after my COVID test, but it was very difficult. My husband was quarantined for 14 days and was glad to be released without getting ill. Now that I am recovered, I am fortunate to be able to help my mom and other family members.”
