Haynes and Boone Advises Toyota in Connection with Build-Out of Mexican Manufacturing Plant
Haynes and Boone, LLP and its Mexico City affiliate Haynes and Boone, SC have represented Toyota Motor North America and its Mexican affiliate Toyota Motor Manufacturing de Guanajuato in connection with the construction and development of its new automobile manufacturing plant in Apaseo El Grande, Guanajuato, Mexico. The Guanajuato plant is manufacturing Toyota Tacoma pick-up trucks.
Haynes and Boone advised on issues involving plant construction and other real estate issues, permitting, and other infrastructure issues including power transmission and generation.
Working on the project were Haynes and Boone Partner Larry Pascal, chair of the firm’s Americas Practice Group and co-chair of the International Practice Group, and César Ramirez del Ángel, a foreign counsel in Haynes and Boone’s International Practice Group. Also working on the project were Mexico City partner Edgar Klee and Mexico City Counsel Mauricio Reynoso.
