Artum Acquires EppsteinFOILS Supported by Heuking
A team led by Dr. Hermann Ali Hinderer, Partner at Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek, advised Swiss industrial group Artum AG on the acquisition of an interest in EppsteinFOILS GmbH & Co. KG from investment firm CornerstoneCapital among others. Jointly with the long-standing general manager Dirk Mälzer, Artum intends to continue EppsteinFOILS GmbH & Co. KG’s success story as a hidden champion in a market niche and to further strengthen Eppstein group’s market position in line with its long-term investment approach.
EppsteinFOILS GmbH & Co. KG, founded in Eppstein in 1852, produces high-quality and extremely thin technical non-ferrous metal foils, which are primarily used in medical technology, materials testing, the packaging industry, and electronics. The company employs some 100 people.
Artum AG is a Swiss industrial group owned by entrepreneurs. Artum does not intend to resell the companies in which it has invested. Rather, its long-term strategy is aimed at transforming mid-sized companies into powerful and profitable international industrial groups. Since 2001, Artum has formed 15 companies into eight industrial groups and developed them into market leaders.
