Ariane Neubauer will reinforce the Venture Capital practice in Berlin as an Equity Partner – Gesine Dechow increases the number of notaries working at Berlin’s office to five

Effective February 1, 2021, Ariane Neubauer will reinforce the Corporate and Venture Capital practice at Heuking’s Berlin office. Ariane Neubauer (36) joins Heuking as an Equity Partner from Noerr, where she started her career ten years ago and practiced as an Associated Partner most recently.

Applying her proficiency and long-standing experience in advising investors, startups, and founders on equity financing, employee participation programs, equity acquisitions, and exit transactions, Ariane Neubauer’s expertise covers the entire range in Venture Capital.

She also advises on all issues relating to corporate law in real estate transactions and has particular expertise in advising on complex portfolio transactions as well as on the acquisition and sale of portfolio holders and project developers.

“With Ms. Neubauer joining our firm, we are strengthening our Venture Capital practice in an excellent way that will allow us to significantly expand this sector,” said Dr. Karl-Josef Stöhr, Office Partner in Berlin. “The intersections with other fields of law resulting from her advisory work, such as traditional real estate law, employment law, IP, tenancy, tax, and distribution law, are also highly promising and can be covered very well by Heuking’s comprehensive offering,” added Maren Stötter, Partner and real estate law expert in Berlin.

At the beginning of the year, Gesine Dechow (49) had joined Heuking from Leinemann. She is a notary and Certified Specialist Lawyer in Private Construction Law. With Gesine Dechow joining the firm, Heuking reinforces its expertise in private construction law by adding a specialist lawyer with extensive experience, particularly in litigation. With Gesine Dechow joining the firm, there are now five notaries working at the Berlin office. Dechow already practiced as a Certified Specialist Lawyer in Private Construction Law at Heuking from 2003 to 2007. “The focus of Ms. Dechow’s practice perfectly complements our Berlin office and we see great potential in Gesine Dechow,” concluded Maren Stötter.

Including Ariane Neubauer, 12 Equity Partners are practicing in Berlin. At the beginning of January, Dr. Utz Andelewski had joined the office with his employment law team. 26 lawyers are now practicing at Heuking’s Berlin office. With Dr. Andreas Urban, Ralph Negelein, Christoph Wagner, Hanne Kara, and Gesine Dechow, there are now five notaries working at Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek’s Berlin office.
