QIL4 strengthens its Dispute Resolution practice by naming as partner Alejandro Solares Morales.

We are very pleased to announce the promotion of Alejandro Solares to partner as head of the Litigation & Dispute Resolution practice of QIL4.

Alejandro joined the firm in 2013 and has been successfully leading the litigation and dispute resolution practice since 2018. He has over 10 years of experience in international and domestic litigation and arbitration matters, handling complex dispute resolution cases related to a variety of industry sectors such as construction, financial, oil, mining, energy, software, corporate and shareholders disputes, as well as complex debt collection.

He has represented mining projects with investments of more than US $ 2.8 billion in Guatemala and hydroelectric projects (over 430 MW) in constitutional actions related to human rights and compliance with the ILO Convention (No.169). Also has represented some of the region’s largest corporate conglomerates in litigation and arbitration strategies in ICC proceedings and before the Central America Court of Justice.

Some of his most relevant clients are Corporación Multi-Inversiones -CMI-, Grupo Terra, Daimler AG, Grupo Onyx, Abbott, British American Tobacco, Young & Rubicam (WPP Group), Pan-American Silver, Inkia Energy, among others.

Alejandro regularly acts as arbitrator in technology, construction, and financial disputes. He has also been very active in the international arbitration and litigation arena, being frequently invited to give conferences and participate in panels and events across Latin America.

Alejandro has great leadership skills and has demonstrated exceptional business and legal expertise as well as a successful record serving our clients in various industries and doing so in a collaborative manner with his colleagues.
