Partner Ronald Aust Brings Intellectual Property Team to Dinsmore

March, 2021 - Louisville, Kentucky

Dinsmore & Shohl LLP is pleased to welcome Partner of Counsel Ronald Aust to its Indianapolis office—one of the firm’s newest of 29 offices across the country—where he will practice with Dinsmore’s national intellectual property group. Joining Aust and previously working with him at his own boutique firm, Aust IP Law, is associate Lindsey Jaeger, who will practice out of Dinsmore’s Covington, Kentucky office.

For the past 20 years, Aust managed an IP law office in Indianapolis, counseling his clients in intellectual property matters, focusing on patent application preparation, prosecution, and opinion work, with an emphasis in medical technologies—particularly for biopsy and vascular areas, and in microfluidics technology. Jaeger’s practice focuses on patent preparation and prosecution, patent opinion work, and client counseling in intellectual property matters.

“We are pleased to have such an experienced practitioner as Ron join Dinsmore’s Indianapolis office and bring Dinsmore’s strong national intellectual property presence to Indiana,” said Dinsmore Indianapolis Office Managing Partner Misha Rabinowitch. “We look forward to building out this practice area in Indiana to help service our clients.”

Motivated to join Dinsmore by its culture, size and caliber of attorneys across various specialties, Aust adds to the firm’s growing Life Sciences Industry practice group.

“I am excited for my team to join the firm,” said Aust, who is also bringing along two paralegals. “Dinsmore has the resources, size and attorney power to handle the legal needs of my clients, and I know my staff and clients will be well taken care of here.”

Aust earned his J.D. from Indiana University School of Law – Indianapolis and received his B.S. from University of Southern Indiana.

He routinely sponsors walkers and runners with the American Cancer Society, and he also regularly supports the charities Boys Town and Wheeler Mission. Jaeger has served as the president and secretary of CincyIP and is currently on the board of the Kentucky Arts Council.
