Nestlé acquires the Chilean premium chocolate company La Fête Chocolat

Chilean law firm Carey has helped food multinational Nestlé acquire local premium chocolate company La Fête Chocolat for an undisclosed value.
Vicuña Abogados advised La Fête Chocolat and Ugarte & Correa acted as antitrust counsel. The deal was signed on 23 December.
With the investment, Nestlé strengthens its presence in the luxury chocolate market. La Fête Chocolat will retain its current management.
La Fête Chocolat has been in business for nearly 15 years and has 48 stores throughout Chile, with more than 400 employees.
Swiss company Nestlé is the world's largest food and beverage company. It is based in 18 locations across Latin America.
