May, 2021 - San Francisco, California

May 13, 2021 (Los Angeles, CA) – Hanson Bridgett LLP, a preeminent law firm for all of California, is pleased to announce that Alfonso Estrada has joined as a Partner in Los Angeles. Estrada brings to the firm’s Labor & Employment Practice a powerful skillset in litigation and labor and employment law, and his unique background in regulatory enforcement and white-collar defense builds upon the firm’s scope of practices.

In addition to the litigation side of his practice, Alfonso has worked extensively with law enforcement agencies and unions across California in a wide variety of matters throughout his career. He has successfully conducted complex internal investigations for the City of Beverly Hills Police and Fire Departments, City of Anaheim, City of Long Beach, City of Alhambra Police Department, and numerous other public agencies. Estrada, who joins Hanson Bridgett from Atkinson, Andelson, Loya, Ruud & Romo, began his legal career as a Deputy District Attorney for the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office.

"I’m excited to join Hanson Bridgett's growing L.A. office and, more broadly, to contribute to a firm that places such a high priority on making a positive impact not only for its clients but in its communities across California," said Estrada. "While I’m glad the firm’s remote workforce program has been so successful, I look forward to working alongside my new colleagues in Southern California when our office fully reopens as well as collaborating with many others statewide.”

"I’m confident that Alfonso’s top-flight trial experience and labor and employment expertise will make him an essential member of our Los Angeles team and strengthen Hanson Bridgett as a whole,” said partner Raffi Zerounian, who serves as Los Angeles Market Leader. “I’m delighted to welcome him as we continue our drive to expand our Southern California office and the breadth of services we offer to clients throughout the region.”

Alfonso is affiliated with several professional organizations including the Mexican-American Bar Association, the California Police Chiefs Association, the California State Sheriffs Association, and regularly presents his expertise at conferences. Outside of his practice, he volunteers as a Certified Instructor for Peace Officers Standards and Training. He holds a J.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles School of Law and a B.A from the University of California, Berkeley.
